History |
||||
| This Campellolebias chrysolineatus is known only from their type area in Santa Catarina, along the coast of southeastern Brasil. It can be found together with Rivulus haraldsiollii in some ocasions (KilliData, J. Huber). There status is strongly endangered in their natural environment because of strong urbanisation. The species was discovered by an expedition of C. Tatsua, V. Teixeira, C. Castaldi and V. Franciozi in April 1986. The given name refers to the golden (Greek= Chrysos) lines (Latin= linea) in the colour pattern of the males sides.
