Lucania is a genus consisting three known species. These are L. goodei, L. interioris and L. parva. The genus spreading is wide, but concentrated to the state Florida, northerly up to Tampico along the Atlantic coast of North America. To the south it is present as far as the highlands in Mexico near the Cuatro Cienegas basin. Type species was Lucania parva, at that time known as Limia venusta, Girard, 1859. |
